Located in LA, Marisa Takal paints contemporary life, simultaneously lived on a screen and in a room. She conflates the rich, elevated history of abstraction with the banal organizing systems of the everyday, such as calendars, rolodexes and closets.

Marisa’s work has been featured in numerous exhibitions at notable venues, domestically and internationally, and she's represented by Night Gallery in LA, where she had a solo exhibition in 2021.
