Information We Collect

We collect the following kinds of personal information:

• Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, and shipping and billing addresses when you place an order, create an account, sign up for emails or texts, enter a promotion or contact us.
• Order information. The products you buy, order totals and order history. Payments are processed by Shopify and its payment partners, such as Shop Pay. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.
• Reviews and submissions. Reviews and photos you post on the Site, and artwork or collaboration proposals you send to collabs@applystickers.com.
• Business contact information. If you work for a retailer or other business that buys from us, partners with us or may want to carry our products, your name, job title, company, business email address, business phone number and business address, along with records of our orders and communications.
• Job applicant information. If you apply for a job by emailing jobs@applystickers.com, your contact details, resume and anything else you choose to send us.
• Information collected automatically. Device, browsing and cookie information, as described below.

We collect this information directly from you; automatically when you use the Site or open our emails; and from other sources, such as Shopify, Faire (the wholesale marketplace where many retailers order from us), business lead and contact-data providers, and publicly available sources such as business websites.

Device and Browsing Information

When you visit our Site, we and our service providers collect information that your browser or device sends, such as your Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type and version, pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, how you arrived at the Site, and your general location based on your IP address. We also learn when you open our emails or click their links.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser or on your device. Pixels are small pieces of code that do a similar job on websites and in emails.

Our Site uses cookies and pixels, including from Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Analytics and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), to:

• keep your cart working and remember your preferences;
• understand how people use the Site so we can improve it;
• measure how our emails and ads perform; and
• show you our ads on other sites and apps, such as Facebook and Instagram.

You can set your browser to refuse or delete cookies, but some parts of the Site, such as your cart, may not work without them. See “Your Choices and Rights” below for other ways to limit tracking.

How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

• process, ship and deliver your orders, including returns and exchanges;
• communicate with you about your orders and account, and answer your questions;
• publish the reviews you submit and review the artwork and proposals you send us;
• send you marketing emails and, if you opt in, text messages;
• run, secure and improve the Site and our products;
• advertise our products, including on social media;
• sell to and support retailers and other business customers, including contacting businesses that may want to carry our products;
• review job applications and communicate with candidates; and
• prevent fraud, comply with the law and enforce our Terms of Use.

How We Share Information

We share personal information with:

• Service providers. Companies that help us run our business, such as Shopify (online store, checkout and payments), Klaviyo (email marketing), Printful (production and shipping of some orders), shipping carriers, Google (website analytics), our text-message provider, and HubSpot, Overjoy and Faire (managing our relationships with retailers and other business contacts). They may use your information only to provide services to us.
• Advertising and analytics partners. Companies such as Meta and Google collect information through cookies and pixels on the Site and use it to measure and deliver ads, as described in their own privacy policies.
• The public, when you choose. Reviews you post on the Site are public, along with the name you submit with them.
• Legal and safety recipients. Courts, government authorities or others, when we believe sharing is required by law or needed to protect the rights, property or safety of Apply, our customers or others.
• A buyer or investor. A party to a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of our business, as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising cookies and pixels may count as “selling,” “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under some U.S. state privacy laws. You can opt out as described below.

Text Messages

If you sign up for text messages, we use your mobile number to send you recurring automated marketing texts. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time or HELP for help. We do not share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Your Choices and Rights

• Marketing emails. Click “unsubscribe” in any marketing email. We may still send you emails about your orders and account.
• Text messages. Reply STOP to any text.
• Cookies and ads. Use your browser settings or our “Your privacy choices” link to opt out of targeted advertising. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out request for that browser. We do not respond to other “Do Not Track” signals. You can also use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on and the ad settings in your Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy, correct it, delete it, or stop selling or sharing it for targeted advertising.

To make a request, email help@applystickers.com. We may need to verify your identity, for example by asking you to confirm details of a recent order. An authorized agent may make a request for you with your written permission. We may keep some information when the law allows, such as records we need for taxes or to complete your order. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our response.

Visitors Outside the United States

Apply is based in the United States, and we store and process information there. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we process your information to perform our contract with you (such as filling your order), for our legitimate business interests (such as running and marketing our business), with your consent (such as for non-essential cookies) and to comply with the law. You also have the right to object to or restrict our processing, to receive your information in a portable format and to complain to your local data protection authority. When we transfer your information to the United States, we rely on safeguards required by law, such as standard contractual clauses.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, such as filling orders, maintaining business records and meeting tax, accounting and other legal requirements. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, and our checkout is encrypted and run by Shopify. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Links to Other Sites

Our Site may contain links to other sites, such as Instagram and Faire. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their privacy policies.

Children's Privacy

Our Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at help@applystickers.com.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and change the “Last updated” date above. If a change is material, we may also notify you by email or through a notice on the Site. Changes take effect when posted.
